Nobody looks forward to having a cavity drilled and filled. Now there is an alternative: Silver Diamine Fluoride (SDF).  SDF is an antimicrobial liquid that can be brushed on cavities to stop tooth decay – painlessly.  Some patients require a second treatment to be applied after 6 to 18 months of the first treatment. 

SFD is a non-invasive treatment that is ideal for the indigent, nursing home residents, children, and special needs, that may otherwise require sedation.
